James Bond Island

James Bond Island, also known as Ko Tapu, is a famous tourist destination in Thailand. It is located in Phang Nga Bay, part of Ao Phang Nga National Park in the southern part of the country. The island gained international fame after it was featured in the James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun” (1974), starring Roger Moore as James Bond.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit James Bond Island, or Ko Tapu, in Thailand is during the dry season, which typically spans from November to April. This period is considered the high season for tourism in the region and offers more favorable weather conditions for exploration and sightseeing.

How to get there

There are various boat options available, including many boats. The type of boat you choose may depend on your preferences, budget, and the level of comfort you desire.

Boat lagoon

  • Speedboat 1 – 2 hours

Yacht Haven Marina

  • Yacht 30 – 50 minutes

Royal Marina

  • Speedboat 1 – 2 hours

Visit Panwa Marina

  • Sailing Catamaran 2 -3 hours
